A Mobile Court at the State CID in Umuahia, Abia State, has ordered the remand of Ebochue Kingsley Uzoka, 40, over the alleged murder of Chimaobi Anya Ojo.

Uzoka was arraigned on January 28, 2025, for conspiracy and murder. He and others, who are still at large, were accused of killing Ojo on September 20, 2024, in Nkata Ibeku, Umuahia North.

Chief Magistrate P. N. Lekwa adjourned the case to February 19 and directed the Chief Registrar to forward the case file to the state Attorney-General for further action.

Ojo, 36, a native of Elu Ohafia, had returned from Poland in February 2024 to meet his newborn daughter and build a home for his family. His life was tragically cut short just days after celebrating his daughter’s first birthday on September 8.
