A landlord in Anambra State has accused his tenant, identified as Chukwuneke Ebehu, of stabbing him over an unpaid electricity bill in Onitsha.

The landlord, Tochukwu Nnaji, revealed the incident in a Facebook post on Sunday, January 26, 2025. He alleged that the tenant attacked him with a dagger, which was later confirmed to have been "poisoned."

"This is how I ended up on Friday night. My tenant, an Abakiliki man from Izza, Ebonyi State, stabbed me with a poisonous dagger around 9:43 pm on Friday. As of now, I am fighting for my life in the hospital over an unpaid NEPA bill of ₦9,250," Nnaji wrote. "If the pain in my stomach persists, I might need to be transferred to another hospital for further treatment or surgery."

He continued: "This is the face of the Abakiliki man who stabbed me. He is a mechanic who used to work on my car, which is why I rented him my house. His name is Chukwuneke Ebehu, from Izza, Ebonyi State. He stabbed me multiple times with a dagger confirmed to be poisonous. I am still hospitalized. His shop is located at Kala Mechanic Village, Okpoko. I am currently admitted at Lumen Christi Hospital, Iyiowa Layout, Odekpe."
