A local security outfit, Otampa Security Services, has apprehended Onyedikachi Ukazu, a resident of Akoba kindred in Otampa, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.

In a statement shared with the press, the security outfit revealed that the suspect was publicly paraded through the community—a move aimed at reinforcing transparency and justice.

Unable to meet the N100,000 restitution demand, Ukazu has instead offered a sheep, a goat, a mobile phone, and two plastic chairs as part of his penalty. The statement further disclosed that he has been given one month to fulfill the financial obligation, failing which the pledged items will be forfeited.

Meanwhile, the stolen mobile phone has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

"This incident serves as a stern warning to criminal elements within the community, emphasizing the need for them to either reform or face the consequences of their actions. Otampa Security Services continues to set a benchmark in community policing, ensuring a safer environment for all residents," the statement added.
